But I also think that this must be that precious moment of really becoming a writer: when we come to terms with our ugliest flaws, and thereon resume the business of writing, knowing that it is not what we supposed it to be. It is not, as we thought, the process of finding ourselves on the page or becoming someone --- but just that enormous, enormous task: to observe ourselves living.Punky PJshttps://www.blogger.com/profile/07133463930201938451noreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-5628724583623775646.post-17926880188804328512013-03-11T05:38:00.953-07:002013-03-11T05:38:00.953-07:00It's petty, it's natural.... And it's not all that bad because this pettiness drives you to struggle, the struggle drives you to grow, the growth makes you reach a better place than where you are today. The irony of life is that apparently we need to be miserable to be able to achieve.... go figure :)abhimanyuhttps://www.blogger.com/profile/00359318564960134089noreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-5628724583623775646.post-53507738176258630672013-03-09T06:42:13.215-08:002013-03-09T06:42:13.215-08:00thank you...who are you?thank you...who are you?In searchhttps://www.blogger.com/profile/02962164887268414028noreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-5628724583623775646.post-42748281696182101812013-03-09T01:12:41.845-08:002013-03-09T01:12:41.845-08:00I think a lot of people -- most people -- feel the...I think a lot of people -- most people -- feel the same way you do. It's wonderful that you've gone out there and said it. It takes the power away from those 'petty thoughts' because that's just what they are -- thoughts. It's not a crime to think them. Evolution has schadenfreude and jealousy and rivalry wired into us. I think it's an achievment enough to not ACT on those thoughts :)nonehttps://www.blogger.com/profile/06362252607854429185noreply@blogger.com
